Monthly Day Retreats

In December we had an interesting and stimulating course, with meditation and contemplation. Thanks, Charlie, for a thought-provoking day!

Our next meditation day is on Saturday, 25 February, 2012

This is a photograph of Ringu Tulku’s new shedra at his monastery in Rigul, Tibet.

In the Wikipedia, shedra is defined like this, “Shedra is a Tibetan word meaning ‘place of learning’ but specifically refers to the educational program in Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and nunneries.” (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shedra.)

On Saturday, we are going to start listening to recordings of Ringu Tulku’s online course on Shantideva’s famous text, the Bodhicharyavatara.

This is a great opportunity to do or catch up on the course in the company of others, and liven it up with discussion and meditation. Everybody is welcome.
